Founded in 2019 by James, the Unted Neighborhood Community Center (UNCC) stands as a beacon of hope and support in the heart of St. Petersburg, Florida. James's journey began with a personal revelation, spurred by his mother's diagnosis and a realization that the support system for immigrants in the area had vanished with the closure of Catholic Charity. Determined to fill this void and extend a helping hand to those in need, James embarked on a mission to create a place where individuals and families could find solace and assistance.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, UNCC is dedicated to serving the diverse needs of the community. Our multifaceted approach encompasses a wide range of services aimed at empowering individuals and fostering a sense of belonging. From GED assistance to resource allocation and orientation for immigrants, from food assistance to referrals for utility payments, rent, and mortgage assistance, UNCC is committed to addressing the pressing challenges faced by our neighbors.
We understand that access to basic necessities is essential for individuals to thrive. That's why UNCC goes beyond traditional support systems by providing transportation to work, assistance with moving, and access to a free clinic and clothing resources. By offering a comprehensive array of services under one roof, we strive to create a supportive environment where individuals can access the resources they need to build a better future.
